Our client is a highly respected specialist consulting firm delivering enterprise Spatial, Asset Management, and GIS solutions to customers across Local Government, Utilities, Water, and Infrastructure sectors. Due to a growing project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Business Consultant – Spatial to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful projects that help organisations improve the way they manage assets, infrastructure, and critical services through the effective use of Spatial and enterprise technologies.

With an above-market daily rate on offer and flexible working arrangements, this role provides the opportunity to work alongside industry experts while delivering outcomes for some of Australia's most asset-intensive organisations.

The Role

As a Business Consultant – Spatial, you will work directly with customers to understand business requirements, facilitate workshops, configure solutions, and deliver consulting services that drive operational improvements.

You will act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring customers maximise the value of their Spatial platforms and associated enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver Spatial solution implementations, enhancements, and optimisation initiatives

- Facilitate business and functional workshops with key stakeholders

- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements

- Configure and support enterprise Spatial and GIS solutions

- Deliver training and knowledge transfer to customers

- Provide ongoing consulting and advisory services

- Manage stakeholder expectations and project outcomes

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and additional service offerings

- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery

About You

You will bring a combination of Spatial, GIS, enterprise systems, and consulting experience, along with a strong customer focus and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

We are particularly interested in professionals with experience in:

- Spatial or GIS solution implementation and administration

- Enterprise Asset Management environments

- Local Government, Utilities, Water, Energy, Transport, or Infrastructure sectors

- Enterprise software implementation projects

- Business consulting, functional consulting, or business analysis

- Customer-facing stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation

Highly Desirable Experience

- TechnologyOne Spatial

- TechnologyOne Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

- TechnologyOne Property & Rating (P&R)

- IntraMaps / Enterprise Maps

- MapBuilder

- TileEngine

- ESRI ArcGIS and related GIS technologies

- Asset management and infrastructure management processes
